Fashion, the Environment and GCSE Exams

May 10th, 2019

Fashion Academy workshop

We were treated to a fantastic fashion workshop as we continue our drive to ensure our students are well informed and prepared for their potential chosen careers. Thank you to Miss Hill who arranged the project for Year 9 and 10 students last Friday.

Tristam Stuart Environment talk

Thank you to Mrs Baverstock for arranging the brilliant environmental talk from Tristam Stuart via speakers for schools. Tristam helped our students define Bonus Pastor’s pledge to do our bit for the environment. He was incredibly impressed with our plastic sea art project which is displayed in Churchdown and the students have already been to see me to ask for recycling bins. They will be coming soon! The students quite rightly said that all young people should be encouraged to make the right choices.  Speaking of correct choices, can I make a polite request to parents picking up their children to not let their car engine idle whilst waiting as this can be dangerous to health as well the environment.

Year 11 GCSE Exams

The main exam season gets under way next week. We are thinking of the Year 11s during this time and we pray that all students have the success they deserve.
