Year 7 and 8 mid-year assessment from Friday 29/11/2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

The Year 7 and 8 mid-year assessments will take place later this month beginning on Friday 29^th November 2024. 

Assessments for the four core subjects; English, Maths, Science and RE and the EBacc subjects; History, Geography and MFL will be completed as a year group in the main hall on the first week of assessments, as we start early preparation for Key Stage 4 examinations. All other assessments will take place in their subject classrooms over the following 2 weeks.

To support students with planning and revision, a link to an assessment timetable has been included with this letter, and has been uploaded to students google classrooms, the student information centre and the school website. There are also resources for students to revise via their individual subject websites.

The mid-year assessments will be used to identify any misconceptions from the first term's learning. Subject areas have uploaded topic and revision lists to students Google Classroom This information will provide support for all students as they prepare for their assessments. As always, we ask for students to try their best and work to the best of their ability during this time.
