Last week, we hosted the Bonus Pastor Bake Off, which we ran slightly differently this year: students had to make and decorate all of their cakes in school.

It was a fabulous event where 18 students from different year groups and Houses came together to work on and create some true masterpieces. Students had to pick their recipes, design their creations, and then work in school to produce their wonderful designs without any additional help from us. Just like the real Bake Off, it was down to them and their partners!

The event ran over three days: Tuesday was for planning and baking; Wednesday was for decorating and adding the final details to their wonderful creations. Then, Thursday was the big showcase where we invited members of staff to come and vote for their favourite cake. The judging criteria was not only which cake tasted the best, but also which cake had the best design.

I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff who came to support the students.
