Pupil Premium and Catch Up

Pupil Premium Strategy - Bonus Pastor Catholic College

The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers. Schools receive the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years: £935 for pupils in year 7 to year 11’

We are very pleased to say that the gap, between our Pupil Premoum students, and their Non Pupil Premium peers closed considerably in 2019 both in terms of progress and attainment. We continue to work to further close this small gap, and continue to improve the attainment and progress of our pupil premium students.

Catch Up Strategy - Bonus Pastor Catholic College

The catch up funding is funding recieved from the government to help secondary schools support pupils who did not meet the minimum expectations in English and Maths within their SATs tests.
