Students Launch Biodiversity Meadow

Our Year 7, 8, and 9 research students have taken a major leap in their biodiversity studies this week. Moving beyond the "hypothesis" stage, these dedicated young scientists headed out to the playing fields to put their research into practice. They were brilliantly supported by Dr Watrobska from Imperial College, London.

The goal? To transform a designated area of the school grounds into three unique meadow types. By creating these diverse habitats, the students have established a long-term "living lab" where they can monitor the impact of different environments on our local wildlife.

The sheer workload was impressive; students successfully prepared the ground and completed the planting in a very short window of time. It was a brilliant display of teamwork and environmental stewardship. We look forward to watching these meadows flourish and seeing the data our students collect as the seasons change. Well done to all our budding ecologists!
