Year 7 and 8 Summer Term Assessments from Monday 20/04/2026

Dear Parents/Carers,

Year 7 and Year 8 summer term assessments will take place from Monday 20 April 2026.

To support students in developing good examination habits as they move towards Key Stage 4, the majority of assessments will take place in the main hall under formal assessment conditions. This will help students become familiar with the expectations and routines of sitting assessments in a larger examination setting.

To support students with planning and revision, a link to the assessment timetable has been included with this letter and has also been uploaded to Google Classroom, the Student Information Centre and the school website.

Subject areas have also shared topic lists and revision guidance via Google Classroom so that students are clear about what they need to revise in preparation for their assessments.

These assessments will help teachers evaluate students’ learning across the academic year so far and will support planning for the remainder of the summer term.

As always, we ask students to approach their assessments positively, to prepare carefully and to try their very best.
