End of an Outstanding year

End of an outstanding Year!

As the 2018-19 academic year draws to a close we reflect on all of the fantastic achievements and the amazing events that have taken place throughout the year. Well done students, parents/carers and staff for making 2018-19 a huge success. Thank you to parents and carers this year for your support at all of our events, we couldn’t do it without you. We pray that everyone stays safe over the summer break and everyone comes back with recharged batteries in September to continue their exciting educational journey.

Our last day of term is Thursday 18th July 2019 and is a half day.

We wish our Year 11 students all the very best with their GCSE results on the 22nd August which can be collected from 9am to 11am on that day.

Sports Awards 2019

We were delighted to invite GB Basketball player Joshua Edwards along to our Sports Awards dinner on Friday 5th July. Josh gave an amazing speech about how he grew up in Lewisham and persevered with his sport until he found the one he loved. He also spoke about the importance of academic achievement and how this has opened doors at American colleges. Well done to all award winners and thank you to Mr Rayney, Ms Fullilove, Ms Turner and Mr Christodoulou for their work with the teams this year.

The Summer Concert

What an amazing range of performances at this year’s concert with students showing casing brass, strings, piano, drums, voice and much more. I think I can be forgiven for having a favourite performance this year. The drumming collective’s tribute to their band mate Ruben stole the show. Thank you to Ms Bee and Mr Jones for a brilliant evening.

Never too old for the Zoo

Thank you to Mr McAuliffe for taking a group of Year 10 students to the zoo last week. The students were rewarded for making the most progress this year and they are very well prepared for their important last year at the school. We wish them all the best as they continue their 2 weeks of Work experience placements.
