Online Arco tutoring
Well done to Oliwia, Sekani, Kai and Kelis who were awarded ‘Tutees of the Month’ by their Arco tutors and will now receive a free one to one session. The Year 10 students have been turning up every Saturday morning for extra tuition and this has done wonders to build confidence. Well done to you all
Well done to Amy
It was lovely to hear alumni Amy Ohiomoba talking about how her time at Bonus shaped her pathway into successfully tutoring students in Maths. Amy has been nominated for the Mayor’s award! Good luck Amy!
Starting Half term with ‘No screen Friday’
After such a highly energised half term it feels fitting to draw it to a close with ‘No Screen Friday’ as part of our well-being campaign. Details of the plans for Friday 12th are outlined in this edition of Pastorale.
Our students have worked incredibly hard this half term and the engagement levels have been through the roof. It has given me great pleasure to award vouchers to the most engaged students over the past few weeks, with our new rewards strategy, which has proven very popular. There have been so many students registering 100% engagement online and this is testament to their resilience, hard work and respect for their teachers. Well done also to the parents for sticking with it and helping us to make sure teaching and learning can continue to be at its very best during this current period of Lockdown. We know that the first few weeks of next half term will be a continuation of the current plan and we will update you once we are given further guidance from central government. For now, please enjoy the break, switch off and reflect on all you have achieved this half term.
