ART & DESIGN MAKES CHILDREN POWERFUL

Visual Arts & Creative Technology at Bonus Pastor is a catalyst for cultural development; studying a wide range of arts practices across time and place to assist students develop a tolerance and understanding of the world in which we live.

The VACT department comprises Art, Fine Art, Graphics, Photography, Applied Art and Food. Students learn how to record, analyse, develop ideas, make final outcomes and evaluate using a range of materials and techniques.

We assist students in enhancing their problem-solving skills, creative thinking, capacity to formulate and communicate ideas and emotions, while also nurturing the self-confidence that young adults require to excel and take initial steps towards higher education and employment.

Our courses are enhanced with a variety of creative clubs, Arts Awards qualifications, gallery visits, and international trips to New York.

Visual Arts & Creative Technology Big Ideas

Visual Art & Creative Technology is about human creativity and expression. It's about understanding how things look, how they communicate, and how they work. In this subject, we explore how ideas in art and design come together across time and place. We learn how design influences our daily lives and how art shapes the world around us. Moreover, it instils qualities of ambition, resilience, tolerance, and creative adeptness, fostering holistic problem-solving skills while emphasising the Arts' profound influence on our overall well-being.
